Feelings quilt for the back of Kenzie's quilt. Can you find sleepy, happy, worried, sad, scared, contented, silly, excited, disappointed?
Kenzie's quilt.
Elsie was my first granddaughter and this has some of her favorites.
This is the back of Kody's I SPY quilt. I used only scraps from my stash and ideas from Pinterest.

I SPY Quilts for Grandkids 2015

I made four (count 'em four)  I Spy Quilts for my four oldest grandchildren. This was the first and easiest because the ideas were fresh.  I wanted each quilt to be different and big enough to grow into.

Baby boy quilt. 2014

2014. This one went to Amy's new baby boy.

This one went to a friend of Tracy. Baby boy. 2015.

King-size. Mid to late 80's. Hand quilted.

Wedding quilt for a friend's son's wedding. 2015.

2010?

2010?

This is the back of the pink quilt below. 2014-5.

This quilt came 100 percent from scraps. 2015.

Over the last six years I have made car quilts for all of my children and their spouses. All of the quilts were red and black and white. This one was made from all the leftovers. 2014.

Crazy bright pinks in the twister pattern. Made in summer 2014 and gave to Tracy's good friend Lacy.

Made car quilts for all my kids and spouses. This one went to Jeff. Fall 2014.

I made this one for an elderly friend of Rich who actually died before she received it. He ended up giving it away at a Christmas party 2014 in a gift exchange.

I made this one for my dad, Chet Johnson, when he was bedridden in the last months of his life. It is the birds in flight pattern which seemed appropriate since he raised pigeons for most of his 90 years of life.

Katie's car quilt (all car quilts in our family are red, black, and while). Fall 2014.

Baby girl quilt 2014

This is my original design inspired by the rail fence pattern. Fall 2015.

I made this, I SPY QUILT and it is actually is a collection of family favorites. It contains over 300 different fabrics. 2012.

Rich started bringing home fish fabric so I had to do something with them! My grandsons like this one a lot. 2011.

Fall 2014. Made for Loa.

Tiny squares made this a tedious project. It became a tablecloth for Loa. Finished in 2014 but begun about 2 years before that.

Rich designed this Tetris quilt and I sewed and quilted it for him.

MORE QUILTS

I made this one for my daughter Tracy. it seemed to remind me of her colorful personality! It was a painstaking process of closely following a pattern (my least favorite kind of quilt to make, because you know what it's going to look like when you start and where's the fun in that?) Circa 2011.

Made for a dear friend when she became a grandmother. It's an EYE SPY quilt for playing games with little ones. Circa 2012.

If I had to give this quilt a name, I would call it Triangles-Are-A-Lot-of-Work. After a quilt like this one, I avoid triangles for a while. It is one of my favorites. Circa 2010.

More Quilts

This is an adaptation of the kaleidoscope pattern. Made for Angie's HS graduation.

Angie and I worked on this one together. It was a wedding quilt for one of her roommates. Circa

Angie started collecting snowmen when she was in high school. I saw this pattern and had to make it for her. Not especially fun to make. Quilted professionally by Pridemore Quilting. Circa 2001.

Made for a friend. Quilted by Jill Lilly (I think)... circa 2002

Grandma Lucinda Curtis made about 24 blocks like these in the 1950's or 60's. She gave half of them to me and I assembled them into the quilt and paid a friend to hand quilt it. That was about 1990.

This one is Jason's car quilt. When he became a truck driver, this quilt traveled with him across the country in a big rig. I made it about 2008. One of the first quilts I did on my long arm.

Katie and Jason's wedding quilt. I had decided that I couldn't make Katie a quilt in time for her wedding but a good friend called me in October and really encouraged me to do it (quilt guilt trip). I got it done on weekends and evenings in time for the wedding! Her wedding was Veteran's Day 2004.

This is a wall quilt made for Rich's parents for their 40th wedding anniversary. The hearts represent all of their children and grandchildren (everyone made their own heart). It was hand quilted by Maurine Houston. 1992.

One of my first -- made in mid 1980's. Hand quilted.

Tracy wanted to make a quilt for a good friend. We worked together on this one. It has BFF on the back.

Loa asked me to make her a green quilt with no triangles. It is still in her living room.

One of Loa's son's has this one. It was a wedding gift.
